F8 Livestream at LBi London

It has been a huge week for Facebook, with the F8 conference in San Francisco, and the official European event being held at LBi in collaboration with Facebook Developer Garage.

The heart of Zuckerberg’s keynote speech was the announcement of Facebook’s ambition to create an open graph at the centre of the web, creating an instantly social and personalized experience across all websites. The first step is the implementation of Facebook’s social plugins across over 70 initial partner sites: you can now “like” social objects all over the web, and see which of your friends like them too. Saint have produced a great summary slidedeck of the F8 announcements, so I’ll cheekily slap it in here for your viewing pleasure.

For a more in depth discussion of what all this means, take a look at Richard‘s post on LBiQ. I’ll leave you with a few more videos, courtesy of Facebook Developer Garage London.
