Space Invaders!

The first time I saw a space invader mosaic, it was on the wall of a side street in Oxford, not far from the Turf: I reasonably assumed it was some sort of bizarre student prank. The second time I saw one, it was outside the Royal Academy of Arts.

Was it coincidence? Random happenstance? No! There is one man behind it, a man on a mission: to invade every city in the world, filling it with garishly pixelated ceramic space invaders.
